Poetry: If Reality Hits Me
If Reality Hits Me
I don’t get it I ‘m just so confused,
I try to be the best person and do the
Thing I am suppose to.
I get flaked on, I’m feeling down
As I walk into a crowd of people,
I wear a frown.
I hear laughter, I cannot smile.
How am I going to get through
Tomorrow.
If reality hits me, I’ll be left in the dust.
As I wander around lookin’ for this place.
I seem to have wandered too far.
The way my mind works, I just can’t see
I keep on walking, searching for
Home.
Sitting in this place, a dark scent of trouble
I sense.
I don’t think I like it here, the place I arrived too.
I wanna be some place far, some place with no
Drugs.
I sit here quietly watching people frown.
Someone’s voice sticks out an unpleasant
Sound.
As I walk into a room of silence.
There’s no disturbance, its quiet all around.
