Since this is my first post, a quick introduction is in order. I am a 31 year old, balding, soon to be divorcee struggling to make ends meet each month (ladies please form a single file line).  Yeah….that just about sums me up. I recently graduated from CSULB;  I was in school so long I should be performing surgery instead of blogging.

I was only married for two years , but my ex and I were in a relationship for more than eight . I looked at the end of my marriage -  and to a certain extent at myself  -as a failure, but was reminded by someone that failure was not the way to look at things; he was right.  I’ve been separated for a little over five months and have had some low points (I’ll save those for another post) but with the new year, things have been turning around for me…I mean look at me now … blogging for this prestigious site.

In the shameless self – promotion department…I’ll usually start my posts with lyrics from music that has some meaning me  and maybe even provided the soundtrack to my  days between posts.  The lyrics above are from my band’s album, “Worker and Parasite”  You can check us out at www.myspace.com/tafkata.  The best description I heard of us was a cross between Slayer and Molly Hatchet.  I’ll just leave it at that. ~ Eddie
